JACOB'S LADDER-works in progress
Ladder #2
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This will be a series of groups of 6 or more acrylic paintings that will be stacked vertically and strapped together much like the "Jacob's Ladder" folk toy. Each canvas will be painted on both the front and back and when they are on exhibit they will have the same "action" as the toy. There will be a pull cord that the viewer can yank on to start the cascading action. Starting at the top, each canvas will flip over in turn, revealing all of the backs of each canvas. Continued pulling cascades them again revealing the front and so on. This work will be created throughout 2008.
